“Solitude is a ground where community grows. In solitude we interact when physical presence makes difficult if not possible”-Henri Nouwen. In the light of global communal bath revival, this project introduces contemporary bath to reconnect city dwellers in urban context through the experience of Social Solitude. The design adapted a site in Nottingham that connects to a cave chamber.
